How to Know It's Time/h2>

Things to Think About

Are you contemplating replacing your tires? We understand that tires are a big decision and a major purchase for many drivers. Here are some things to think about. Will replacing your tires improve safety? Will the purchase improve the appearance or performance of your ride? Is there a good place nearby for tire sales? We can certainly help you answer that one. You can count on Pit Stop in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Is It Time for Replacement?

Most street-legal, general-use tires are quite durable. Even though they are, they can't last forever. If they're worn beyond safe use (minimum 2/32 inch tread depth), it's time to replace your tires. Similarly, certain damage can be repaired (i.e., a small puncture in the tread pattern that isn't more than 1/4 inch). Large inclusions, a cut, or damage to the sidewall is unsafe to repair. You should opt for a replacement instead. Also, repairing is not feasible if the injured tire has been run flat or is otherwise in a compromised condition. Sometimes you may choose a replacement for cosmetic or functional reasons. If you're working on a life package or desire a special use tire such as an off-road or mud model, you may desire tire replacement.
